May 6, 2010 – Allegheny County state Senators Wayne Fontana, Jay Costa, Sean Logan and other state lawmakers will join representatives from Bridge Educational Foundation, CSX Transportation, AmeriChoice/Unison Health Plans, and RBC Capital Markets to announce the donation of $67,500 in scholarships to local families.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11 at 1:30 pm at the Assumption BVM School, 35 North Jackson Ave., Pittsburgh.

Bridge Educational Foundation is a non-profit scholarship organization that was established under the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. The Foundation’s core mission is to partner families and schools with Pennsylvania businesses to provide scholarship opportunities.
