State Senator Wayne D. Fontana (D-Brookline) will join Jennifer Palashoff and Julie Toussaint, owners of the Learning Express of Robinson, for the new franchise’s ribbon cutting.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, November 5th at 1 p.m. at Settlers Ridge (290 Settlers Ridge Center Drive) between the new Giant Eagle Market District and Cinemark Theater.

The sisters were recipients of the first round of loans from the Metropolitan Loan Fund of Pittsburgh (MLFP), which Senator Fontana helped fund. MLPF is a private/public partnership designed to provide flexible financing and technical assistance to new and existing businesses, primarily minority owned businesses, which are located in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Funders work closely with the borrowers to provide both funding and the technical assistance that is needed to ensure a business thrives and succeeds.
