HARRISBURG, February 3, 2015 – In an effort to make his staff and local services more convenient and accessible for constituents, state Senator Wayne D. Fontana is opening two new mobile offices.

“Redistricting has changed some of the communities I represent,” Fontana said. “Hopefully, these mobile office locations will make it easier and more convenient for constituents to stop in and obtain assistance with state government services from my staff and me.”

Fontana is opening the following new mobile offices:

  • Strip District (mobile office) at the Pittsburgh Public Market, 2401 Penn Avenue
    in Pittsburgh on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (STARTING FEBRUARY 5)
  • Northside (mobile office), Carnegie Library (Allegheny Branch), 1230 Federal Street
    Pittsburgh on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (STARTING FEBRUARY 11)

Fontana said he and his staff stand ready to help constituents with such services as car registrations, special tags and license applications, disability plates and placards, information on financial assistance for higher education, birth and death certificate applications, notary applications, senior citizen information, such as PACE and Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications, and requests for literature of all kinds, including copies of bills, regulations, statutes and state maps.

Other services include citations/certificates from the Senate of Pennsylvania for outstanding accomplishments and family milestones, tours of our State Capitol, questions or problems about utilities, consumer complaints, complaints about road conditions, issues and problems involving insurance companies, and any issue involving state government.

“I urge people to stop by for assistance with any state government issue,” Fontana said. “People are also more than welcome to just to stop by and say hello. My staff and I look forward to meeting and serving you.”

Fontana also has full-time district offices located at 932 Brookline Boulevard in Brookline (412) 344-2551 and at Kenmawr Plaza, 524 Pine Hollow Road in Kennedy Township (412) 331-1208. He has an additional satellite office at 1660 Broadway Avenue in Beechview (412) 343-2080 which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays.

The 42nd Senatorial District includes numerous Pittsburgh wards, along with Avalon, Baldwin Twp, Bellevue, Ben Avon, Carnegie, Castle Shannon, Coraopolis, Crafton, Greentree, Dormont, Heidelberg, Ingram, Kennedy, McKees Rocks, Neville , Reserve, Scott, Sharpsburg, and Stowe.
