BROOKLINE, Sept. 14, 2010 – State Senator Wayne D. Fontana today reminded local citizens that new voters must register by October 4 if they plan on voting in the November 2 general election.

“Your vote is your voice,” Fontana said. “Voting is your responsibility and opportunity to help determine who our elected leaders are – and what kind of programs, services and spending priorities will be in place in the years to come.”

The Brookline lawmaker said voters next month will have the opportunity to choose a new U.S. Senator and governor as well as vote for their Congressman and state legislators.

Fontana said voters can go to www.votespa.com for a wealth of information on voting.

“Printable registration applications and contact information for county boards of elections are just two of the many resources available through VotesPA.com,” Fontana said.
