Smith and Fontana help to add bus run in St. Clair Heights
On October 4, 2007
HARRISBURG, Oct. 4 – State Rep. Matt Smith and state Sen. Wayne Fontana, both D-Allegheny announced that Port Authority Transit will add additional bus runs in St. Clair Heights, effective Nov. 18.“Representative Smith and I heard from our constituents that the present bus service was not adequate to meet the needs of those who have to get to downtown Pittsburgh,” Fontana said. “I am pleased that Matt and I were able to work with the Port Authority to get an additional morning and evening run added to the route.”
“I want to make sure that my constituents know that Senator Fontana and I will continue to push for even more Port Authority service to St. Clair Heights,” Smith said. “The people in this neighborhood deserve public transportation that meets their professional and personal needs, and Wayne and I will follow through on our commitment to our constituents.”
Exact departure and arrival times have not yet been announced, but one morning route into ittsburgh and one evening route back to St. Clair Heights will begin on Nov. 18.
