FontanaFest

Please join me on
Saturday, September 24th,
from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the
7th Annual FontanaFest.

We are just eight days away from the 7th Annual FontanaFest. We hope you’ve made your plans to join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at South Side’s Riverfront Park (bottom of 18th Street, at the river).

There are many activities planned including visits by Iceburgh, the Pirate Parrot, Steely McBeam and Freddy the Flame; a dove release by the National Aviary and a promenade by the Soldiers & Sailors 6th Regiment U.S.C.T. Drum Corps. A full schedule will be available next week on our website – so please plan to visit www.FontanaFest.com for updated information.

The PA Fish & Boat Commission will be back at FontanaFest this year and offering canoe rides on the Mon for participants. Pittsburgh Water Limo will be providing free boat rides on the three rivers during the event (stop by the Welcome Booth for your free ticket(s)) and Pittsburgh River Rescue has also planned a visit and dive demonstration for attendees.

The booth sponsors are an important piece of this event and have a great deal planned for you this year – including a bouncy ride, chair massages, cotton candy, zoo animals, arts, crafts, health checks, contests, information on programs, games and more. You can find more detailed information on what each organization is offering on our website, or follow us on Twitter (@FontanaFest) or like us on Facebook for daily updates.

There will be plenty of free food and drink thanks to Sorbara’s Shop ‘n Save, Breadworks, Giant Eagle, Fuhrer Eagle Sales & Service, Eat’n Park, PA American Water, DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton and the PA Beverage Association. You’ll also be enjoying the entertainment provided by Tallon Audio Works of Robinson Township.

Last, but certainly not least, it is our sponsors that make this event possible each and every year – and so we extend a large thanks to US Steel Corporation, Comcast, Chester Engineers, Wal-Mart, Point Park University, Equitable Gas, Pittsburgh Plumbers, Bayer HealthCare, Columbia Gas, Steamfitter Local No. 449 and Direct Energy.

Don’t forget! Follow us on Twitter (@FontanaFest), like us on Facebook and visit our website for updated information. We look forward to seeing you next Saturday!
